負責愛丁堡動物園運營的蘇格蘭皇家動物學會首席執(zhí)行官大衛(wèi)·菲爾德(David Field)稱，由于動物園大部分收入來自游客，在疫情影響下，愛丁堡動物園關(guān)閉3個月，造成了巨大的財政負擔。

Field said: "The closure of Edinburgh zoo and Highland Wildlife Park for three months due to Covid-19 has had a huge financial impact on our charity because most of our income comes from our visitors."

Field added: "At this stage, it is too soon to say what the outcome will be. We will be discussing next steps with our colleagues in China over the coming months."

菲爾德表示，在過去9年，“陽光”和“甜甜”給游客留下了深刻印象，幫助數(shù)百萬人與大自然親密接觸，激發(fā)了他們對野生動物保護的興趣。“我希望它們能在這里多待幾年，這當然是我目前的目標。”
